Max Reger Centenary Concert

In a concert that marked the centenary of the death of German composer, organist, pianist, and conductor Max Reger, the Brisbane Chamber Choir performed selected works including his O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden (1904) and Der Mensch lebt und bestehet nur eine kleine Zeit (1916).

We hope you found we treated his work with the seriousness he did – as he once wrote to a critic:

“Sir: I am seated in the smallest room in the house. Your review is before me. Shortly it will be behind me.”

We were once again thrilled to perform for such a discerning audience!
